NYC's 'Live More Tour' adds LA promo fares By Bill Poling / October 21, 2010 Share 1 -- New York City's tourism bureau, NYC & Company, Thursday rolled out the third and final promotion with American Airlines as part of its Live More Tour, a city-to-city program that began earlier in the week with Miami and Chicago and now includes Los Angeles. The Big Apple's joint promotions with the other three cities are designed to stimulate winter travel, in both directions. In the case of LA, American is offering a $99 each-way fare through Oct. 23 for travel between New York's Kennedy or LaGuardia airports and four Los Angeles-area airports: LAX, Burbank/Bob Hope, Ontario or Orange County/John Wayne. The fares, which require a roundtrip and a Saturday night stay, are valid for travel in either direction between Jan. 5 and Feb. 25, with two blackout periods: Jan. 15 to 17 and Feb. 18 to 21. A similar $79 fare sale for the New York-Miami market expires Oct. 21, and the Chicago offer, priced at $89, expires Oct. 22.
