New Travelodge at Orlando airport opens
ORLANDO -- The opening of the 332-room Travelodge Hotel-Orlando
International Airport represents Travelodge Hotels' 13th property
in the area.
The hotel, less than two miles from the airport, previously
operated under the Sheraton Four Points banner.
Guests have access to a courtesy airport shuttle 24 hours a day,
according to Mike Leary, director of sales.
Room amenities at the property, which was renovated in 1997,
include high-speed Internet access, courtesy coffee service and
toiletries.
The hotel's Martinique restaurant serves three meals daily and
provides room service.
Rickie Lee's, an entertainment lounge, is open daily from 4:30
p.m. to 1 a.m., offering a Top 40s band, Latin music and disc
jockeys.
Rates are $99 per night, single or double, through April; $79
from May 1 to Sept. 30.
Travel agents pay $39 a night or are housed free, depending on
availability.
Group rates are quoted for 10 or more rooms. Motorcoach tour
contracts offer a free room for the driver and a discount for the
tour escort.
Agents earn 10% commission on room sales, Leary said.
