New Travelodge at Orlando airport opens

The hotel, less than two miles from the airport, previously operated under the Sheraton Four Points banner.

Guests have access to a courtesy airport shuttle 24 hours a day, according to Mike Leary, director of sales.

Room amenities at the property, which was renovated in 1997, include high-speed Internet access, courtesy coffee service and toiletries.

The hotel's Martinique restaurant serves three meals daily and provides room service.

Rickie Lee's, an entertainment lounge, is open daily from 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., offering a Top 40s band, Latin music and disc jockeys.

Rates are $99 per night, single or double, through April; $79 from May 1 to Sept. 30.

Travel agents pay $39 a night or are housed free, depending on availability.

Group rates are quoted for 10 or more rooms. Motorcoach tour contracts offer a free room for the driver and a discount for the tour escort.

Agents earn 10% commission on room sales, Leary said.
