New and renovated hotels cater to the business traveler November 26, 2001 Share 1 -- MEXICO CITY -- The following represent the city's newest and newly renovated hotels. The final two properties will open next year. All include facilities for business travelers and meetings groups. New this year• The 212-room Fiesta Inn Periferico Sur opened in April in southern Mexico City. It features a business center, rooms with voice mail and computer connections, a fitness center, a spa and private parking. The hotel features three floors of business rooms and 14 suites, six of which have kitchenettes. Opening next spring will be a Le Cirque restaurant. Mexico City will be Le Cirque's third location since the world-famous restaurant was founded in New York in 1974. Le Cirque also will offer rooms for private meetings and functions, including a separate banquet room for 120 people. The restaurant itself will seat 220 guests. As part of the refit, each room is being equipped with a TV with a 25-inch screen. An additional $6 million is being spent to renovate guest rooms, meeting spaces and the lobby as well as to build a full-service spa by the end of the year.
