Solitude Mountain lifts its game with Powderhorn II By Felicity Long / August 13, 2009 Share 1 -- Utah's Solitude Mountain Resort is working to minimize lift lines with the installation of Powderhorn II, a midmountain, $1.5 million quad lift that replaces the circa-1970 double lift at Sunshine Bowl. The upgrade comes on the heels of last season's $7 million investment in two, new high-speed detachable lifts. The new lift will make the upward trek in seven minutes, down from the previous 12. Solitude Mountain Resort, is located just 40 minutes from Salt Lake City Airport. Visit www.skisolitude.com for details.
