Seattle was chosen in part for its presence in the fields of aerospace, biotechnology, computer technology and manufacturing industries. The Seattle flight, which will operate via A330-200 aircraft, will feature a two-class configuration: 40 seats in business and 179 in economy. INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP will manage the InterContinental Kiev in the Ukrainian capital when it opens in the first quarter of 2008. The 280-room property will be located in the city center, within walking distance of St. Michael Golden Domes Cathedral and other top attractions. The hotel have a rooftop restaurant, meeting rooms, a ballroom, a fitness area, a swimming pool, a workout room and three treatment rooms.VISITBRITAIN and VIRGIN ATLANTIC have collaborated on the Be a Brit Different marketing campaign. Their one-year marketing agreement calls for cobranded advertising, public relations and special events. The two entities will offer reciprocal links on their Web sites with information about airline specials, featured destinations and travel. The promotion is co-sponsored by Englands North Country, Discover East Midlands, Visit London, VisitScotland and Visit Wales.ST. BRIDES SPA HOTEL in Pembrokeshire, Wales, added a marine therapy spa as part of a multimillion-dollar renovation. The cliff-edge spa features a thermal suite with a salt grotto, an herbal steam room, a rock sauna, an indoor-outdoor infinity pool and a rain shower. Treatments use products from France-based company Algotherm.UNTOURS trimmed as much as $500 per couple off its Tuscany and Venice vacations and $300 off its Spain vacations. The discounts are valid for air-inclusive packages in June, July, and August. Tours include 14 nights accommodations in a fully equipped apartment, cottage or farmhouse; air from New York; car rental or rail pass; and the support of an English-speaking representative. Sample sale prices for summer departures start at $2,899 per person, double, for the Tuscany package. Bookings must be made by March 30.
