US Airways' Mexico expansion is set to begin Oct. 26 when the airline begins daily roundtrip service between its hub in Charlotte and Mexico City. The service will be operated aboard an A319 with room for 120 passengers. Flights will depart Charlotte at 10:15 a.m. and arrive in Mexico City at 1:26 p.m; return flights will depart Mexico City at 2:26 p.m. and arrive in Charlotte at 6:45 p.m. Meanwhile, US Airways plans to increase its Boston-Cancun service to five flights a week Feb. 14, with one roundtrip flight on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and two roundtrip flights on Saturdays. US Airways currently operates one roundtrip flight on Saturdays. FUNJET VACATIONS extended to July 31 the booking deadline for its Fly Free This Fall promotion. Under the promotion, Funjet is offering discounts for groups of 11 to 19 people to Cancun. Groups can choose between a $200 discount on one air/hotel reservation or one free airline ticket. This offer is valid on select St. Louis and Kansas City departures. Sample vacations include roundtrip air, hotel accommodations, roundtrip airport transfers and hotel taxes.
