The system [the first phase of which cost $2 million], which will allow travelers to print boarding passes or check baggage for any participating airline operating from McCarran, will be installed in two phases and will feature 38 kiosks located at strategic points in the airport. McCarran also said it will install four kiosks at the Las Vegas Convention Center to expedite check-ins before travelers arrive at the airport. The first phase is for travelers with carry-on baggage only; a second phase will accommodate travelers with checked luggage. In addition, if the flight is booked at www.allegiantair.com, clients will receive an extra $5 off the price of each flight segment. After June 13, regular one-way fares will range from $119 to $199. Allegiant, through its Allegiant Vacations program, also features air and hotel packages to Las Vegas from Denver starting at $209 per person, roundtrip if booked by June 13.
