Editorials Analgesics & Chocolate March 25, 1998 Share 1 -- Hotels have been aware of the need to please women business travelers for years now. Chains have been stocking rooms with cotton balls, emery boards and hair dryers, but apparently, something was missing. Kimberly-Clark Corp. finally heard the cry of women road warriors -- and answered. The company is providing hotels with Kotex brand feminine pads and tampons as an in-room amenity. Practical, yes; but Insider wanted to take this one step further. We polled some colleagues to find out what would be the next-most-practical amenity for women, and several said that would be an in-room "PMS kit." And what exactly, we asked, would such a kit be made up of? Save for the brand names, the answer was nearly universal: "A bottle of Midol and a Hershey bar."
