Editorials The Teacher, Taught December 17, 1997 Share 1 -- At the Institute of Certified Travel Agents' 16th national forum, industry teacher and consultant Robert Joselyn gave what was his 15th speech at the annual event. But it was his first speech after earning his certified travel counselor designation. "I've finally achieved the stature of my audience," Joselyn said. After all these years working with ICTA, Joselyn said, he thought he knew something about being a CTC. He discovered, however, that "no one will ever have the appreciation for the CTC designation until they have to earn it." While studying for his CTC, Joselyn found it "more than a little strange to listen to my own tapes and read my own materials to pass the test."
