A flying start for Porsche Museum

By Felicity Long

It was a very good first year for the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, as it welcomed more than a half-million visitors since it opened Jan. 31, 2009.

That number was more than double the predictions made by officials at the museum's inauguration. The facility showcases some 80 of the 61-year-old company's most famous sports- and racecars as well as lesser-known prototypes.
