Yacht package takes golfers from sea to tee

Le PonantFrench yacht cruise company Compagnie du Ponant created an eight-day roundtrip Nice, France, cruise aimed at golfers.

The itinerary sails to eight ports and visits five golf courses in Italy and France.

Travel is aboard the 64-passenger, three-masted Le Ponant sailing yacht. Departures are set for May 6, 17 and 25, and onboard staff will include a sports director specializing in golf.

Fares range from $4,841 to $5,453 per person, double; golfers pay an additional $760 per person to cover greens fees. Rates include accommodations in 32 outside staterooms, all meals with wine and beer, captain’s welcome cocktail party and gala dinner, 24-hour room service and entertainment.
