Maharajas' Express unveiled its new luxury cross-country train route, Royal Sojourn, which will operate in India year-round. Royal Sojourn enables guests to experience new destinations and off-train excursions, which include champagne at the Taj Mahal, a visit to the Nahargarh Biological Park/Elephant Rehabilitation Centre, a cruise on the Chambal River, a stop in cotton-silk craftsman colonies and elephant polo in Jaipur. Guests can also customize visits to biological parks, nature preserves or spa treatments at palace hotels through a private guide. The eight-day, seven-night trip is priced at $6,760, double, for a Deluxe Cabin and includes all meals; all sightseeing and entrance fees; and guides and entertainment.
