Asia Transpacific Journeys spotlights Vietnam with new programs

SAPA VIETNAMAsia Transpacific Journeys has created a selection of itineraries for 2013, including two programs visiting Vietnam: Insider's Vietnam and Passage to Indochina: Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Insider's Vietnam, a 15-night trip, is priced from $7,395 per person, double, and departs March 6. Highlights include hiking through traditional hill-tribe villages, kayaking in a limestone-studded bay, biking through the countryside en route to a village that grows traditional herbs, cruising by small boat through the Mekong Delta and exploring small hamlets and ancient temples. Passage to Indochina, also a 15-night trip, is priced from $8,995 per person, double, and offers four departures in 2013: Jan. 13, Feb. 17, Oct. 6 and Nov. 10. Highlights include stops in Luang Prabang, Laos; Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Hoi An and Cu Chi, Vietnam; and Angkor, Cambodia. Included are a traditional baci welcoming ceremony, a cruise in Halong Bay in Vietnam, a visit to an elephant conservation area and an insider's exploration of the temples at Angkor. Asia Transpacific pays 10% commission on the land portion of the cost of the tour; net rates for FIT tours can also be arranged.
