Omni Amelia Island creates 'Pirates & Princesses' plan

The Omni Amelia Island (Fla.) Plantation is inviting families this summer with the Pirates & Princesses package, valid through Sept. 3. The three-night plan covers accommodations in an oceanfront room; one beach gear fun pack per family; an in-room movie with popcorn; a beachfront barbecue and s'mores evening; a Treasure Seekers adventure at the hotel's Nature Center; spa pedicures or bike and fishing pole rentals; and a parents-only dinner at the hotel's Verandah restaurant and a Just For Kids dinner party the same night. Rates start at $245 per room, per night, for a family of four. A Thursday arrival is required.
