Hawaii Ala Moana Hotel names new G.M. By Shane Nelson / October 14, 2013 Share 1 -- Bill Comstock has been named general manager of the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu. ALM Management Services, which runs the 1,176-room property, announced the appointment Oct. 7. Most recently the G.M. at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach in Waikiki, a position he took over in 2006, Comstock has also managed the Outrigger Canoe Club and the Doubletree Alana and worked as part of the Hilton hotel chain. “Bill’s extensive experience in the hospitality industry coupled with his dedication to maintaining the highest industry standards make him one of the best in the business,” Ron Takayama, the Ala Moana’s acting general manager, said in a statement.
