Hawaii Aqua Hospitality names new managers at Waikiki resorts By Shane Nelson / March 17, 2014 Share 1 -- Aqua Hospitality has named new management officials at two properties recently added to the company’s management portfolio in Waikiki. Rodolfo “Rudy” Fao has taken over as general manager at the 225-room Luana Waikiki, and Joshua Gahret was named hotel manager at the 216-unit Aqua Pacific Monarch condominium resort last month. Born in Macau, Fao is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University and a 14-year veteran of the hospitality industry, serving most recently as the general manager at Aqua’s Volcano House on the Big Island of Hawaii. Gahret started his hospitality career as a bell captain at the Hotel Hana Maui but worked most recently as hotel manager for Aqua’s Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head, a luxury boutique property on the eastern edge of Waikiki. Hawaii-based Aqua Hospitality took over management at the Pacific Monarch in October last year while adding the Luana Waikiki to its management stable in January.
