Hawaii Conde Nast Traveler honors Kauai’s Koa Kea Hotel By Shane Nelson / October 26, 2015 Share 1 The pool area of the Koa Kea Hotel & Resort at Poipu Beach. -- The Koa Kea Hotel & Resort at Poipu Beach, a boutique property on Kauai’s south shore, earned top marks in Conde Nast Traveler’s 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Hawaii Resort. Located on the site of the old Poipu Beach Hotel, the 121-room resort earned a 95.12 rating from Conde Nast readers. The Montage Kapalua Bay, Maui, featuring 56 sprawling residential condo units and stunning ocean vistas, finished second, meriting a 94.73 rating. Meanwhile, the Travaasa Hana Maui, located on the Valley Isle’s remote and tranquil eastern shore, filled the third spot, posting a 92.2 rating. Conde Nast Traveler’s 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards surveyed more than 128,000 readers, who voted on over 5,000 hotels, hundreds of cities and islands, dozens of cruise ships, airlines and airports.
