Hawaii Hyatt Regency Waikiki completes renovation By Shane Nelson / November 07, 2011 Share 1 -- The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa has completed a $13 million renovation. The upgrade included improvements to the 1,229-room property’s third-floor common areas; a new Regency Club lounge; a refurbished poolside bar and resurfaced pool deck; and the launch of two new restaurants. “This renovation marks a new chapter for the resort, one in which we will emphasize a return to classic Hawaiian hospitality,” General Manager Jerry Westenhaver said in a statement. “All of the upgrades to the property provide a luxurious, modern backdrop to new cultural programming designed to give travelers an authentic taste of Oahu.” The property is offering a Waikiki Wow package to celebrate the completed renovation. The package includes a three-night minimum stay starting at $219 per night, 20% off food and nonalcoholic beverages at either of the hotel’s new restaurants and a one-category room upgrade.
