Occupancy up across Islands during fourth week of April

Hawaii’s statewide hotel occupancy was 74.1% for the week ending April 28, an increase of 13 percentage points over the same period a year ago.

The average daily room rate was also up across the Islands, climbing 4.2% year over year, to $192.85, according to a report by Hospitality Advisors and Smith Travel Research.

Hawaii’s statewide occupancy was 9 percentage points better than the national average for the week, and its room rates were $86 higher than the countrywide average.
