Hawaiian Airlines transported more than 836,000 passengers in May, a 7% improvement over the same month last year.

The carrier also saw substantial growth in revenue-producing miles during the month, generating a 17.7% jump year over year, to more than 1.14 billion, according to figures released by the company June 5.

Hawaiian’s load factor dipped in May, however, sliding nearly 3 percentage points, to 80.3%.

Through the first five months of 2013, Hawaiian has transported just over 4 million passengers, up 7.7% year over year, while the airline’s load factor has dropped 3.2 percentage points, to 80.1%.
