Location and History
Shangri-La Al Husn is located out along Oman's rugged coastline, about 22 miles south of central Muscat, a 30-45 minute drive, depending on traffic. It's also a 30-minute drive to Muscat's historic districts at Muttrah and Takia Bays, where most cultural attractions are situated.
The hotel is one of three Shangri-La hotels situated within a huge seaside complex. Al Husn is the most upscale hotel, an adults-only resort. Its name means "the castle."
