This hotel enjoys an epicenter location in a noteworthy historic building that has been infused with a stylish showroom sensibility. Unlike its peer, the Four Seasons, this hotel brings colorful modern design to the forefront.

This place goes well beyond what W hotels has to offer, but service standards could use a shot in the arm. Last renovated in 2007, it still looks great.
