On Frontier flight, a final taste of the beloved Midwest cookie

I just finished reading "In memoriam: The Midwest cookie" [Sounding Off, April 16]. At age 50, as someone who has lived in the Milwaukee area most of his life and has worked in the travel business for 27 years, your recap brought back a lot of "delicious" memories. Sad to see all of that fall by the wayside.

I recently flew on Frontier from Phoenix to Milwaukee and enjoyed what will likely be my last chocolate chip cookie (singular, since they only give out one now).

The cookies are about the final tie-in to Midwest, although the Best Care Club still exists in Milwaukee. Someone could probably get a good money pool going as to which day in 2012 will be its last, given the tremendous decrease in Frontier flights out of Milwaukee.
