Re Facebook: Beware a company that produces nothing of value

I really appreciated Richard Turen's comments about how Facebook is nothing more than a huge vacuum cleaner sucking the activity habits of lives of people all over the world [Reality Check: "Facebore: Is it really for all of us?" Feb. 14].

My father told me when I was young to always be leery of any company that doesn't really produce anything of real value.

We stopped advertising on Facebook a long time ago when we realized what a waste it was. I know many people now who have ditched the "Facebook addiction," and I am soon to be one, as well.

The truth is, I really don't give a damn that you are sitting with friends having a beer somewhere. More importantly, I don't think anyone else cares either.
