Insight Mexico Insight New OTA emphasizes the experiential By Meagan Drillinger / March 07, 2017 Share 1 -- A new travel agency hybrid hit the scene last month, taking online travel agencies into the next generation. TripXpertz, a virtual agency website that focuses on the user experience, made its debut with its very first destination area of expertise: Mexico."The site will focus on enticing the consumer through rich, engaging, destination-focused content," TripXpertz founder Brad Miron said in a statement. "This is not about price or product, this is about creating demand." The first site to launch, MexicoXpertz, is the first in a series of child sites, and with it comes grandchild sites like AcapulcoXpertz, set to debut this spring. Future sites will include Cancun, Cozumel, Riviera Maya, Riviera Nayarit, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Mazatlan, Huatulco, and Los Cabos. Each site allows the consumer to first explore, and then book packages, flights, hotels, car rentals and excursions. This in and of itself is not different from a traditional OTA, but TripXpertz takes it a step further to incorporate social media and to focus on the specific destination travel experience without the usual commercialization -- a plus for millennial travelers, whom the sites will target. In fact, TripXpertz pledges a "No Ads Guarantee" to ensure that consumers are not led astray and confused with nonrelevant ads. "Our business model is all about connecting with people on a peer-to-peer level with rich, engaging content and for us to intrigue them into asking, 'Where is that? I want to do that.' Hence the line we use in our videos, 'You gotta Xperience this!'" Miron said. Miron chose Mexico as the prototype because it is one of the most visited destinations by Americans and Canadians, and Brad himself has been traveling to and specializing in Mexico for the past 18 years. And because TripXpertz is geared toward millennials, Mexico seemed like the first clear choice. "There is so much to see and do off the resort or hotel," Miron said. "That includes whatever you are into, from eco adventure, food, history, arts, and culture. It's amazing how millennials are finding all the hidden gems in Mexico, including colonial cities that rival many European destinations."Miron's site is digging deep into the side of Mexico that not many North Americans know about. In fact, he has plans for future grandchild sites that touch on lesser traveled destinations like Isla Holbox, Puebla, Morelia, Oaxaca, Campeche, Merida and more. TripXpertz is currently partnered with Best Day Travel Solutions and their team of 3,000-plus buyers, operators, and other suppliers, including the call center with more than 400 Mexican Xpertz to handle calls and fulfillment. "We leverage all the great travel products and tours that have already been built but continue to look for more unique opportunities to add to the menu," said Miron. TripXpertz plans to launch a global network of destination-focused sites in the next year and a half. The road map for 2017 includes USAXpertz, FloridaXpertz, OrlandoXpertz, CaliforniaXpertz, LasVegasXpertz, CaribbeanXpertz and EuropeXpertz.
