Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Board and the city’s Municipal Health Counsel have implemented several measures to improve accessibility for the more than 13,000 disabled travelers that visit annually.
Beginning in June, four first aid kiosks will be located at strategic points throughout the city’s tourist area, including along the Malecon.
Each kiosk will offer first aid assistance as well as rentals of wheelchairs, walkers, canes and crutches.
Government-sanctioned handicap parking permits also will be available, as will a number of handicap parking spaces all over town.
