As more travelers clamor for experiences that go beyond the standard resort amenities, savvy properties have taken note. Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas is one.
The resort tapped into the rich history of wine in Mexico, specifically in the Baja California wine region, and in April launched a weekly Wednesday class in wine-making at the resort’s La Roca restaurant.
During the three-hour presentation, Grand Solmar’s sommelier walks participants through the process of wine-making, from grape harvest to the final tasting.
There’s more to the class, however, than just talk. Guests have the opportunity to be hands (or feet) on as they crush the wine grapes. During the class, six wines are served for tasting and are paired with hors d’oeuvres.
The classes are $49 per person and can be booked through Grand Solmar’s concierge.
