Africa Middle East Lodge set to open in Tanzania's Tarangire Park By Dorine Reinstein / March 29, 2018 Share 1 Sleeping area in one of the tented suites at Lemala Mpingo Ridge. -- Lemala Camps and Lodges will open Lemala Mpingo Ridge in central Tarangire National Park in Tanzania in July.Tarangire is slightly off the main safari circuit but offers scenic views and is especially famous for its large herds of elephants, birdlife and giant baobab trees.Each of the 15 spacious tented suites have been carefully positioned to maximize not only the views over Tarangire but to also take advantage of cooling breezes during hot weather; one of the suites features two bedrooms. All feature en-suite bathrooms, private decks and sunken outside lounges that convert to star beds at night for sleeping under the stars. A special feature of each suite is the private outside bathtub, perfect for soothing the body and soul after a day on safari.The elevated main lodge has a large lounge and bar, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a spa and a swimming pool.
