Single tourist visa for East African states

By Natalia Thomson
The East African Community has launched a single tourism visa for visitors traveling to Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

Each of these countries will now charge $50 (U.S.) for a single visa, with hopes that other regional countries will eventually join the new visa program.

The new visa is part of the countries’ decision to market East Africa’s tourism collectively following the development of a single customs union.
