Richard Branson’s newest private luxury retreat, Mahali Mzuri, is set to open this year on the Kenyan plains.
To celebrate its official Aug. 1 opening, the resort is offering a free night on bookings of five nights or more arriving after Sept. 21.
Mahali Mzuri is is situated within the Motorogi Conservancy in the Maasai Mara ecosystem of Kenya, about 150 miles due west of Nairobi. Because of its location, guests are promised a front row seat to the Great Migration between July and October as well as abundant game-viewing year-round.
The resort has 12 sleeper tents that can accommodate a maximum of 24 guests.
Rates during high season start at $995 per person, per night based on shared double occupancy and include all meals, drinks, game drives and transfers from the nearest air strip.
