Everlast to headline Mandalay Bay festival March 13

In commemoration of St. Patrick's Day, Mandalay Bay resort-casino will host a festival on March 13 featuring Everlast, House of Pain and La Coka Nostra, along with special guest B-Real of Cypress Hill.

The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Set to the resort's pool area, the all-day celebration will feature complimentary beach entry for hotel guests and locals from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., along with DJs and Irish bands from noon to 5 p.m. Moorea Beach Club will host a beer garden.

The beach will close at 5 p.m. in preparation for the concert. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Everlast, aka Erik Schrody, is an Irish-American, Grammy-winning singer/songwriter/guitarist. He is well known for his solo hit "What It's Like" and as the frontman for the early-'90s rap group House of Pain. He also is part of the hip-hop group La Coka Nostra, consisting of former House of Pain cohorts Danny Boy and DJ Lethal as well as popular rappers Ill Bill and Slaine.

Concert tickets are $40, not including service charges. Tickets are $100 for an all-day pass to the beer garden and concert and $40 for access only to the beer garden (unlimited beer). Tickets are available at the Mandalay Bay box office, Ticketmaster locations and www.ticketmaster.com. Sales are limited to eight per person.
