GameWorks returns to Las Vegas

By JoAnna Haugen

GameWorks, the family-friendly destination for arcade and carnival games, is returning to Las Vegas with a grand opening at its new location at Town Square on July 31.

GameWorks closed its doors on the Las Vegas Strip in 2012 after 15 years of operation.

Its new Las Vegas location will serve as the flagship for new developments in the GameWorks brand. Its 7,000-square-foot arcade game floor will have classic video games and prize redemption games. The brand’s first eSports Arena will have 80 personal computers for online computer gaming, available at hourly and half-day rates. When not used for tournament play, the eSports Arena will be open to the public for those who want to enjoy a casual online gaming experience.

GameWorks will also have an eight-lane bowling alley and a 240-seat dining room opening onto the arcade floor as well as an al fresco dining option. An on-site sports and lounge area will feature high-definition televisions and classic sports bar food.

Due to a construction delay, the grand opening did not happen as expected on July 28 and is now scheduled for July 31.
