Some of National Geographic’s most iconic image will be on display at the Imagine Exhibitions Gallery at the Venetian in Las Vegas beginning on Feb 14. The exhibit, “50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic,” will feature images that many people have long associated with the organization, such as Steve McCurry’s “Afghan Girl” and a Nick Nichols’ image of Jane Goodall and a chimpanzee.

In addition to the images, the exhibit also features the stories behind the photos and the photographers themselves. In some cases, photos taken right before and after the perfect shot are also showcased.

The exhibit will be open through the end of 2013. General admission is $16; children age 12 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
