USA New York again sets high mark for visitors By Jerry Limone / January 21, 2016 Share 1 Photo Credit: Shutterstock -- New York City drew 58.3 million visitors in 2015, breaking the record of 56.5 million set the year before, according to tourism-marketing organization NYC & Company. The city achieved all-time highs in domestic (46 million) and international (12.3 million) visitors. The number of visitors from China grew 14%, to about 852,000.It was New York's sixth straight year of visitor growth, NYC & Company said. The city's hotels sold 33.7 million room nights last year, also a record according to NYC & Company. Nearly 6,000 hotel rooms were added to the city's inventory in 2015, bringing the total to nearly 107,000.
