Ravella lands on best new hotels list

By Damon Hodge
RavellaThe Ravella at Lake Las Vegas has been named one of the Top 10 New U.S. Hotels in 2011 by review website Gayot.

“Just 17 miles from the action [Strip], [Ravella] enjoys a beautiful, tranquil desert setting, you can steer your own paddleboat on Lake Las Vegas, right outside the hotel's front door,” according to Gayot. “Ravella is also adjacent to MonteLago Village, which means its own restaurants and facilities are complemented by a wealth of upscale shops, fine dining, a marina and championship golf courses — all within walking distance.”

Cherylanne Thomas, director of marketing and sales at Ravella, welcomed the designation.

“We are honored to be named one of the nation’s top new hotels by such a respected travel leader,” Thomas said. “Ravella has worked hard to establish itself as a leader in the hospitality community, not only in Las Vegas, but also the country, and we are thrilled to be among such great company in Gayot’s list.”

Gayot, pronounced “guy-OH,” was launched in 2002 and features reviews on dining, travel and lifestyle products. Its website is www.gayot.com.

Ravella is run by Dolce Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in Montvale, N.J., and Paris. Additional information is available at www.dolce.com. Visit www.ravellavegas.com.
