Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will be adding a high-flying thrill ride late this summer. The ride, VooDoo Skyline, is a zipline that takes off from the VooDoo Lounge atop the 50-story Masquerade tower and sends riders more than 800 feet to the top of the 20-story Ipanema tower.
VooDoo Skyline can accommodate one or two riders at a time and reach speeds up to 33 mph. On the return trip, guests return to the starting point backwards via a motorized pulley system, so the entire ride is almost one-third of a mile. VooDoo Skyline will be more than 400 feet in the air and offer 360-degree, open-air views.
The ride will be priced at $25 per person in the daytime, $40 in the evenings. It will be open seven days a week from noon to midnight.
