Aqua Expeditions will expand into Southeast Asia with riverboat trips on the Mekong River, beginning January 2014.

CEO Francesco Galli Zugaro said a custom-built, 20-suite, 40-passenger boat will operate on seven-, three- and four-day itineraries.

Cruises will sail between Siem Riep, near Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and near Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Currently, the company operates on the Amazon in Peru.

The announcement was made at Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas.
