AirTran to launch Mexico service

Southwest Airlines and its wholly owned subsidiary AirTran will operate flights to Mexico beginning May 24.

AirTran’s new flights will include one daily roundtrip between John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Calif., and Cabo San Lucas and one daily roundtrip, also from Orange County, to Mexico City.

AirTran also will launch four weekly roundtrip flights from San Antonio to Cancun and a daily roundtrip between San Antonio and Mexico City on May 24.
