EasyJet to acquire Gatwick slots

EasyJet announced a deal to acquire 25 pairs of arrival and departure slots at London Gatwick airport from Flybe.

EasyJet intends to use the slots starting in summer 2014 to add new routes from Gatwick and increase frequencies on some existing ones.

Subject to approval by shareholders of Flybe, a European regional airline group, the agreement would be worth about $30 million.
