Hawaiian Airlines sees traffic increase in March

Hawaiian Airlines transported 776,659 passengers in March, an increase of 6.1% over the same month last year.

The carrier’s load factor was essentially flat for the month, dipping a tenth of a percentage point, to 84.9%, while revenue-producing miles jumped 13.8% year over year, according to figures released by Hawaiian April 4.

Year to date through March, the airline has transported more than 2.2 million passengers, up 6.2% from the same period in 2011. Hawaiian reported a load factor of 83.8% through the first three months of 2012, off less than a percentage point year over year.
