AMR Corp., parent company of American Airlines, has announced the team that will run American Airlines after US Airways and American merge.
As previously announced, Doug Parker, chairman and CEO of US Airways, will become CEO and a member of the board of directors.
Also as previously announced, Tom Horton, the outgoing president and CEO of American, will continue to serve as chairman of the board of the new American through the first annual meeting of shareholders, but Parker will take over as chairman after that.
Joining the new American from US Airways are Scott Kirby, president; Elise Eberwein, executive vice president, people and communications; Robert Isom, chief operating officer; Stephen Johnson, executive vice president, corporate affairs; and Derek Kerr, chief financial officer.
Members of the new team coming from American are Beverly Goulet, chief integration officer; Maya Leibman, chief information officer; and William Ris, senior vice president, government affairs.
Dan Garton, CEO of regional carrier American Eagle, plans to step down later this year.
