American and American Eagle canceled another 296 flights on Friday from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, marking the fourth day in a row for disruptions following a series of destructive tornadoes on Tuesday.

The 296 flights grounded Friday brought the total to more than 1,600 flights over four days.

Only 27 flight cancellations are planned for Saturday as American is expected to gradually return to normal operations.

The airlines also identified 108 planes that had to be inspected for damage from hailstorms on Tuesday.
