United axes Istanbul and Buenos Aires routes from Newark

United Airlines this fall will cease flying to two overseas destinations from Newark: Buenos Aires and Istanbul.

The airline currently operates daily service to both cities on Boeing 767s.

Newark-Buenos Aires service ends Sept. 29, and Newark-Istanbul service ends Oct. 26.

United will continue to fly to Buenos Aires from Houston.
