United plans 10 new routes

United Airlines announced plans to launch year-round and seasonal service to several new international and domestic routes. International routes are subject to government approval.

New routes include daily, year-round service between its San Francisco hub and Taiwan, beginning April 9; daily, year-round service between San Francisco and Paris, beginning April 11; three daily flights between Denver and Williston, N.D., beginning Nov. 4; and daily service between Washington Dulles and San Salvador, El Salvador, beginning Dec. 19.

In addition, the carrier will add Saturday seasonal service from Chicago to Nassau, running Feb. 9 through July 27.

United Express, meanwhile, will launch service between Los Angeles and Kelowna, British Columbia, on Dec. 19 and several flights from Chicago O'Hare.

Chicago flights include:

  • Daily flights to Monterrey, Mexico, beginning on Dec. 19;
  • Daily service to Thunder Bay, Ontario, on Feb. 14;
  • Daily service to Jackson, Miss., beginning on Nov. 4; and
  • Winter peak-season flights between to Anchorage, running Dec. 19 through Jan. 2.

In the past 18 months, United has added new routes from its U.S. hubs to Guadalajara, Mexico; Montreal; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Shanghai; and Stuttgart, Germany, along with new intra-Asian routes between its Tokyo hub and Hong Kong and between its Guam hub and Okinawa, Japan.

In addition, the airline recently launched new service between Houston and Lagos, Nigeria; between Newark and Buenos Aires and Istanbul; between Washington Dulles and Manchester, England, and Dublin, and announced new service between Denver and Tokyo.
