A new technology extension of Budget.com can help Budget Rent A Car customers receive instant notification whenever a special promotional price is offered.
Budget customers can set up RSS feeds on whatever home page they use for their other information needs and receive instant alerts for any special pricing offers from Budget for any three travel destinations.
When the customer sees a better rate for a planned trip in the RSS feed window, he or she can click on the link and be taken directly to Budget.com to change a reservation and lock in the extra savings.
John Peebles, vice president of online marketing at Avis Budget Group, parent company of Budget, said that by setting up a an RSS feed, Budget customers no longer have to come back to the site repeatedly to check for better rates.
Budget customers can use the RSS feed free of charge, and targeted destinations can be changed as often as desired.
The feeds are available at www.budget.com/rss.
