Eurostar is planning to expand within five years its rail network to 10 additional European destinations, according to the Financial Times.

The destinations include Amsterdam; Frankfurt and Cologne, Germany; Lyon and Marseille, France; and Geneva, Switzerland.

Liberalization in the European passenger rail sector could trigger competition between Eurostar and new entrants like Deutsche Bahn on services between the U.K. and continental Europe via the Channel Tunnel.
