American Airlines and corporate travel agency Hogg Robinson Group have agreed to “explore a long-term arrangement” in which HRG would access AA’s fares and ancillary products via the airline’s direct-connect link.
HRG said it would access American's content through the airline's direct connect link using its own technology, either directly or via a GDS application programming interface (API).
HRG is the first large corporate agency to partner with American on a direct-connect solution. Leisure-focused Priceline.com already is using AA’s direct-connect link, and Expedia has agreed to implement it.
