CWT combines North and Latin America regions

Carlson Wagonlit Travel combined its North America and Latin America regions into a single Americas region.

Hakan Ericsson, who had been president of CWT North America and Latin America, will serve as president of the combined region.

"Many of CWT's clients operate across the countries that are now included in our united Americas region and organize themselves in the same way," according to Ericsson. "This new structure helps us further deliver integrated travel management to these organizations, while respecting the local nuances important to doing business in each of these countries."

As part of the reorganization, CWT tapped North America sales and marketing vice president Barbara Barnard to serve as senior vice president for U.S. corporate clients.

CWT veteran Brian Hace was named to the new role of vice president for Americas strategy, products and marketing, and will continue to lead the U.S. leisure business.

CWT Brazil leader Andre Carvalhal becomes regional general manager for Latin America, replacing Marino Faccini, who is retiring.
