Andaz Amsterdam opens in former library

By Danny King
The Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht has opened in what used to be a public library.

The 122-room hotel sits on one of Amsterdam’s canals. It has a video-art collection of 40 works as well as 4,300 square feet of meeting space and the Bluespoon Restaurant.

Hyatt launched the Andaz luxury-boutique brand in 2007 and has since opened properties under the badge in New York; Shanghai; London; Savannah, Ga.; and Napa, West Hollywood and San Diego, Calif.
