Archer Hotel in New York to have 'industrial chic' design

|

LodgeWorks is developing a 180-room luxury hotel in New York City’s Garment District.

The Archer Hotel, slated to open next spring, will be housed in a 21-story building on West 38th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues.

The hotel’s “industrial chic” design will include butcher-block floors and exposed brick and steel throughout the property. The hotel will have a rooftop bar.

Closely held LodgeWorks's properties include the Aloft Austin, a Hyatt Place in Salt Lake City and a Hampton Inn scheduled to open in Brooklyn next year.

LodgeWorks sold a portfolio of 20 hotels to Hyatt for $660 million in 2011. Most of those properties have been rebranded under the Hyatt House and Andaz flags.
